Welcome Message

I wish to welcome all freshmen and returning students of the College of Physical and Applied Sciences and by extension, the entire students of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike  to this great citadel of learning, the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike.

To our freshmen, you should consider yourselves very fortunate to have gained admission into this University. Out of the very many candidates who applied for admission into this University you were among the few that were chosen and admitted.

You should realize that your admission has raised high hopes and expectations of you from your admirers. Your parents and guardians are working hard to keep you here.  Please do not be a disappointment.

I urge you therefore, to make good use of this golden opportunity to brighten your future and fulfill your destiny in life.  Ensure you abide by the rules and regulations of the University, shun evil and clandestine associations, attend your lectures, study well, and do not get involved in examination malpractices and other vices.  Be a good student and your stay on Campus will be rewarding and fulfilling.

To our returning students, the year has a lot of good things for us.  Let the bad change for good while the good should change for better.  Be more committed to the reason why you are here (to study to show yourself approved 2nd Tim. 2:15)

Above all, fear God and keep His Commandments for that is the whole duty of man; (Eccl. 12:13)  Commit your ways unto Him and He will direct your path.

I wish you all a very successful and prosperous year and may His blessing abound for you.
